GARAN labels for Amazon

On a marketplace you do not keep a product CSV like an own-shop, you download a report of your listings. Seller Central gives you brand and SKU; add the guarantee duration and generate every label in a batch.

Export a listings report from Seller Central

Amazon provides the report with no extra software; it often arrives as a tab-separated .txt.

  1. 1

In Seller Central open the menu and go to Inventory → Inventory Reports (or Reports → Inventory Reports).

  2. 2

Choose a report that lists your offers (such as the All Listings Report or the Category Listings Report).

  3. 3

Request the report and download it once it is ready.

  4. 4

Open the file in a spreadsheet; if it is tab-separated, save it as CSV.

  5. 5

Keep the brand and SKU columns, keep one row per product, and add a duration column.

Match the columns to duration, brand and model

Amazon gives you the brand and a SKU. The guarantee duration is not a marketplace field, so add it as a column.

GARAN column Where it comes from
duration Not an Amazon field. Add a "duration" column with the guaranteed years per product (typed in or from your master data).
brand The Brand attribute (brand-name). Rename this column to "brand".
model Your SKU (seller-sku) or the manufacturer part number (MPN). Rename it to "model".

Good to know

  • According to a Händlerbund survey (February 2026), Amazon is aware of the requirement but has no concrete implementation plan yet; it says it will provide specific information by mid-2026. Until then, add the label as a product image or A+ module as described, so you are ready for the 27 September 2026 deadline.
  • Amazon reports are often tab-separated (.txt); open and save them as CSV before uploading.
  • The raw report may have one row per offer variation; keep one row per product you want to label.
  • Only products with a guarantee of more than two years need a GARAN label.

Where the label goes on the marketplace

On Amazon you cannot style the listing with your own HTML. Add the generated label as an additional product image or, for brand owners, inside an A+ content module, not in the bullet points. PNG or JPG at a sufficient resolution works well.

The CSV the generator expects

The generator reads a plain three-column file. Whatever your shop exports, the goal is a table with these columns.

  • Three columns named duration, brand and model.
  • A header row is optional. With one, the column order does not matter and any extra columns are ignored.
  • Comma or semicolon separated, so German spreadsheet exports work as is.
  • Guarantee duration greater than two years, whole or half years (for example 3 or 4.5, dot or comma).
  • UTF-8 encoded, up to 500 rows per file.
Example CSV
duration brand model
5 ACME X-100
2.5 Gizmo Y-200
8 Contoso Z-300

A ready-made template CSV is available on the upload page once you are signed in.
