No. The QR code is standardised and identical for every product. It points to a fixed europa.eu page that explains the GARAN label in all EU languages. Online, a clickable link to the same destination is additionally required.
In which formats can I download the GARAN label?
The generator produces the label in five formats: SVG, PDF, PNG, JPG, and WebP. SVG and PDF are vector-accurate; the raster formats are suitable for web and shop use.
Which variants of the GARAN label exist?
There are three variants: colour for web and physical retail, black and white for physical retail only, and the space-saving nested variant for online retail only. With nested, the full label must appear on the first click or touch.
What is the minimum size of the printed GARAN label?
In physical retail a minimum size of 95 by 100 mm applies. The translation strip at the bottom is an integral part and must not be cut off. Online, the label must be shown in colour.
Is this GARAN label generator official?
No. This is an independent tool by media:meets GmbH, not the official tool of the European Commission. The generated label follows exactly the binding requirements of Annexes I and II of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960.
