The regulation
Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960
Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 sets out the harmonised label (GARAN) and the accompanying notice for the commercial guarantee of durability. It was published on 2 October 2025 and applies from 27 September 2026. Annexes I and II fix the label design; only the duration, brand and model may change.
What the regulation standardises
The regulation harmonises the label design, its symbols, the legal guarantee reminder, the fixed QR destination and the accompanying notice, so the same elements are used across the EU rather than reinvented per country or seller.
The annexes and the label
Annexes I and II provide the label templates in three variants. The mandated typeface is Inter, and the label is language-neutral, which is what lets one label serve every member state.
