Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 adopted by the Commission

The Commission adopted the regulation on 25 September 2025. It defines the harmonised GARAN label for the commercial guarantee of durability and is directly applicable in every member state.

What the regulation sets out

The Commission adopted Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 on 25 September 2025. It introduces the single GARAN label for the commercial guarantee of durability. It fixes the layout, symbols, legal reminder and the standardised QR code. Only three fields are variable: duration, brand and model identifier.

Why it matters for sellers

As a directly applicable EU regulation it takes effect in all member states without national transposition. Anyone offering a durability guarantee of more than two years must present the label in a spec-conformant way.
